Values

Flatten

Towards FBrush::FlattenTo_mm by brush weight (full at the core, a soft rim, see ApplyBrush), in FBrush::FlattenDirection.

PaintChannel

Writes FBrush::ChannelValue into FBrush::Channel; heights untouched. Never a paint channel (IsPaintOnlyChannel).

Paint

Material paint: moves each post's weight of FBrush::PaintLayer toward FBrush::PaintOpacity, by the falloff weight of the gap per step (PaintPostStep).

A post holds up to kPaintSlots (layer, weight) pairs in the paint planes (PaintSlots.h); a new layer takes the lightest pair's place when every slot is used. Heights untouched.

Stamp

Height stamp: the brush mask is a shape, not a strength.

Each post's target is FBrush::FlattenTo_mm + FBrush::Strength_mm × the mask there, met as FBrush::StampBlend says. A Stamp names its mask (FBrush::MaskHash; one naming none is refused) and has its own limits (FSculptLimits::MaxStampRadius_mm and the fields after it). Record version 5 defines it; the kernel is ApplyBrush's, and FTerrainWorld applies a Stamp edit tile by edit tile.
